Default Wish List For Gw2

Hi all

This wish list has been collected by many GW players and this is a point of view of the things that we would like to see in GW2

We do not want to absolutely ofend none of the NC Soft staff with our ideas, but to give ideas of what players have in mine of what they would wish for.

LIST

PVE

Completlly MMORPG with dungeons and istance, with other groups participating like RAID. Also with different objectives (but not necessary)
e.g.
Having several groups which have the possibility to split in a dungeon in order to complete the dungeon in less time than what one group would take .

Stealth mode class: Theif, which allows you to steel objects from other players or NPG and move without being noticed, like in Oblivion theif

Climbing, swimming, jumping etc….

PVP / PVE like Lineage 2 with player killer, where the players con confront themselves anywhere.

The Ranger Class is able to create their own preparations like poison arrows etc... using natures materials

To charm an animal, you need to take care, feed for an X time in order to keep the pet.

The possibility to couple the pets in order to create different breeds.

Internal houses, shops and castles/cities to be explored.

Day/night, random weather conditions that influence the skills.
e.g. When it rains the elementalist water or air, can have a greater power damage, also the necro is more powerful during the night and the monk during the day.
-

To create a different personality for each PG depending on how they proceed with the story line or quests.
e.g.
In one quest you can have 3 options on how to complete the quest, Evil, Normal and Good

Insert calander in game.
e.g.
In Guild Hall, can be in NPG that demonstrates the calendar with upcoming GW events and Guild announcements.

Also with the option to alert players during the game, like game electronic agent.

ECONOMY AND TRADE

The possibilty to trade while the player is AFK.
e.g.
When a player is in a city, they can have the option to place objects in a special window for sale, arranging this option an icon will appear above the players head to show that they have goods on sale.

DROP WEAPON AND QUESTS

A lengend quest should be hidden, hard to find and hard to complete with an very rare reward.

Some cooperative hard quest for the guilds like the defence/attack of the guild hall.

Boss and rare chest drops must be unique weapons or other.
e.g.
The dragon sword must be dropped after killing a dragon boss at the end of a dungeon.
This sword must be overpowered and give special effects like exposing fire on attacks, but can give penalty vs cold damage.

PROFESSION AND RESOURSE

Exclusive skill bar for professions.

Possibility to create a base camp when we are tired and unble to continue.
E.G.
In a long coop or quest the team can create a base camp after several hours in order to take a break and resume the game again.
In order to create the base camp, each player must have a profession to complete their task in developing the camp; Fisherman catching fish, skinner to create the tent, shef to cook food, etc…
Eating can erase the death penalty or receive morale boost.

First profession
• Engineer
• Skinner
• Pet trainer
• other...

Second professions:
• Cook
• Miner
• Fisherman
• Student
• Ecc..

Job contract with NPC

PERSONALIZZAZIONE PG

Can customize your PG completely, like eyes, mouth, hair colour and style, age, body features, etc

The possibility to apply runes in order to potential weapons.

The possibility to be slim or fat in regards to how much you eat. The weight can increase your resistance or armour, being fat increases your resistance, being slim increases your agility. This should not be fundamental, but an extra.

GUILD

Houses/Guild halls customizable: you can change walls, stairs, floor etc. with different colours that you pay with materials.

Possilbility to access a secret passeige to the catacoms only accesable from the guild hall.

SKILLS

Skill bar for pet
Unlock skills for the pet

A special skillbar for the guild hall that let people to use funny skills on others

PVP

1 vs 1 arena with spectator and gold reward

Hope this can be an open eye for the future GW2

Too many items on this wish list to reply to them individually, so I will just say NO! NO! NO! to the whole thing. I want to play, not micromanage.

This wish list was obvisouly collected by many GW players who should rather play WoW or something because it is what they really want

Anyway, it quite easy to convert to my "DO NOT IMPLEMENT AT ALL" list:

Half of the things on the the OP's list have already been done in WoW, the other half of the list just outright sucks. (and yes, that's coming from someone who does play WoW and would hate to have most of the list implemented.)

Just because things make sense doesn't mean it's a good idea.

QFT

Why would anyone want to have to feed their pet and spend money on the food to feed them just so we can keep them?

As the saying goes "If its not broke don't fix it".

Well, that's actually in WoW, and it's somewhat immersive (if you don't feed your pet every 30 minutes or so, his damage is reduced until it is fed (enemies do drop food, so it's not a pure moneysink). If you don't feed it for several hours, you'll lose loyalty with the pet). There has to be an upkeep for pets in all games; they can't be free. Even in Guild Wars, two skill slots are the cost of a pet.

However, that's the extent a pet system needs to be, the OP's pet system is needlessly overcomplicated and should rather play Nintendogs instead.

You lost me with this little line: "We do not want to absolutely ofend none of the NC Soft staff with our ideas." WTF is that supposed to mean?

Oh god if gw2 comes out implementing from the list you provided, I wouldn't even bother with it. Then again, the current list of promised gw2 material isn't so appealing to me- I wonder if some of your list is that far off of what gw2 will be.

I think I know what everyone wants.

GW2 to run on their current PC!!

I know its wishful thinking, but mines only a year old. Be ashame to get new hardware in 2 years.

And the only thing I agree with the OP on in that list is AFK trading.

Otherwise there's other games to meet your micromanaging needs.

Sounds like the OP would be better off turning his computer off, going and getting a job and a real pet...

he may have more fun and won't screw his eyes up

If u do not agree in the progress for GW then the best thing for u is to remain in gw 1 because GW2 is based on new pve game concept.

My ideas are to a make the game more interesting.

U are wrong, im not a WoW fan

WoW is a stupid game because it makes u spend time in order to pay monthly

IM NOT SAING THAT I WANT a GAME LIKE WOW

Instead of critizising my wish list, why dont u add a few ideas to improve the game?

i wouldnt even play the game if this was included. imagine working for a long time to get that super item. now picture someone running up and stealing it!
the game would be filled with thieves with worthless items so if they got stolen from it wouldnt matter. i dont like this idea at all.

this has been done over and over in many differant games. the result is always they same. Ambush Zones. teams of players waiting to pray on those who are weaker because the team is bored.
quest blockers. players whom "Guard"/Protect" the Quest and try and stop the players from advancing in the game.Kill Stealers/XP Stealers,Drop Stealers, they come up on you just before you kill
the monster and they either, A. Kill the monster for the xp at its weakest to avoid work. B. Wait until you kill the monster and steal your drop. C Attack You and then finish the creature/quest.
I Love Instanced Zones. i love being able to find a safe spot in a zone and go to the bathroom and not come back to my dead body.

This sounds really cool, as long as it doesnt turn into Monster Rancher or something cheesy. No Tiger/Flamingo Breeds!

i like this idea, going further than the weather though, i would like to see some enviromental class bonuses. fire elementalist's spells work at max effect while in volcanic terrain.
rangers skills work at max effect while in wooded terrain. and so on.

This is a good idea, but the features can be done with YahooMail. they have a calander with an alert feature to remind you of upcoming events and deadline or anything you add in.
use it to keep track of my hidden treasure hunting timeline and other important game dates.

This is a very good idea, it would basically be a Legal Trade Bot. and require no effort to find deals. then they could create a feature that allows you to put up and item you want to buy for the set price you want to spend and then the bots can trade together. pretty soon you wont ever have to play the game again! i do like the idea. that is until it sells my urgos for 1 gold piece!

GuildWars already has this. Elite Mission's.

Those "Unique"Weapons from chests would become common, the chests would have to be very hard to find and get to.
if Bosses only dropped uniques that were super powerful, and the boss Always dropped the item, then everyone would have it and it would get Nerfed.
I like visual effects lice icy and fiery. celestial is nice too.

This is a bit to complicated for my tastes, one reason i play guildwars over WoW, Eq2 and StormWreach is the Low Prep Work. i dont have to spend time on things i do in real life.
i would vote for those Wandering Monks to Offer Blessing to Remove DP for a fee. like every 15% of DP removed will cost 250g. i also like the idea of having NPC''s out in the field who can cast
enchantments on the characters for a fee. Enchant my Weapon with Holy Dmg for 500 gold.

I like this idea, not a full skill bar, but 3-4 skill for pets would be great!
i also like the idea of unlocking them, but by level. so i dont have to buy them or do extra work beside leveling my pet. (leveling pets and only getting HP is kinda lame.)

as long as the skills are balanced, i'll play along, but if i see a Lord Pwnr skills im gone!

Good Idea's, Keep it up bud!
